Horse-drawn Trolley Rides through the Park – FREE

No ticket required! Enjoy a complimentary 10 – 15 minute horse-drawn trolley ride through the lights in Waterloo Park on Friday and Saturday nights between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm. Pick up the trolley at the Trolley STOP sign by the Park Inn at the Young St / Lion’s Lagoon parking lot. The rides are funded by generous local businesses and our partner service clubs. Hot Chocolate, Hot Apple Cider & Bottled Water

Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or a cup of hot apple cider as you wander through the paths of winter lights. Bottled water is also available. Service Clubs open the Park Inn where they serve up warm drinks for just $1.00 each (cash) on Friday and Saturday nights from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm during the two weeks of school break around Christmas. “Life in the School House” Play – FREE

The “Life in the School House in the 1850’s” play brings you back to the classroom around the year 1850 when school was different from today. It’s a fun filled, interactive presentation performed by the students of Westvale Public School. The School House Play lasts about 20 minutes and runs every 25 minutes from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on December 8 & 9 and December 15 & 16 (2017). It’s free but donations are always welcome. The Nativity Scene – FREE

The nativity scene on display beside the barn was conceived and donated by Shawky Fahel and his family. Shawky commissioned Christian Palestinians in Shepherd’s Fields in Bethlehem to carve the scene from Olive wood. The figures took 13 artisans 15 weeks to complete. The delicate carvings were then flown to Canada by Air Canada at no charge. Displayed in its own specially constructed crèche, it is climate controlled to preserve the delicate figurines and eliminate the possibility of any wood cracking or damage. The door to the crèche
